CREATING YOUR SELF CARE JAR

So some of you may be wondering, what is a self care jar. Well it's actually quite simple! It's a jar filled with paper containing various self-care activities. It's just one tool that you can use to guide and inspire you on your self-care journey. So...clear yourself a spot on the floor, turn on some music, grab some wine if you like and lets get ready to tap into our inner child with some arts & crafts!

Everything you need you probably already have available in your home. And if

not...it can be easily substituted. First, you need a mason jar. If you don't have

Self car jar to help with self love journey

one, you can use a box or anything container that you'd like. Now, I like to use post-it notes, but if you don't have any...grab yourself some scissors, paper & tape/rubberbands. You can just cut the paper into post-it size squares.  And last but not least, grab yourself a pen or pencil. Now you can keep it simple, but if you want...feel free to get a little crazy. You can grab some ribbon, stickers, jute rope, paint...anything you'd lke to personalize your self-care jar. But have fun with it.

On the post-it/paper, I want you to write down different self-care activities or prompts. The activities can range from simple things like taking a bubble bath or going for a walk to more involved practices like meditating & journaling. But choose whatever activities resonate with you and make you feel rejuvenated & nourished.

Now once you get done writing on your post-its, you can either fold them and close them using the sticky part of the post-it like I do, or you can roll them up and keep closed with tape or a rubberband. Now, toss them in your jar! And that's it!...unless you want to keep decorating.

Now whenever you feel the need for self-care or when you have some time for

yourself, reach into your jar and randomly select a piece of paper. Read the activity or prompt and commit to engaging in that self-care activity. It'll be like a little surprise for yourself, adding a little excitement to your self-care routine.

After completing the self-care activity, take a moment to reflect on how it made you feel. Was it enjoyable? Was it relaxing? Was it uplifting? Did it meet your needs? Use this reflection to help guide your future self-care choices. If certain activities consistently resonate with you, consider adding them to the jar more frequently, or customize the jar to include activities that align with your specific goals and interests.

Now this is just an easy tool to encourage you to prioritize your self and make intentional choices to support your well-being.

Hope you had fun :)
