Hey, beautiful!! As you all know, Lewa Candle Co. is all about celebrating women & the beauty within them. So today, I wanted to discuss why as women, it is important to encourage and uplift one another. You ever been hyped up by a woman you don't know? Got a compliment? Been congratulated? Given some honest advice? You feel like the stuff! You feel confident! You feel valued! You feel cared about! Those kind words are encouraging! If you don't already, here's a reason why you should and how you can start encouraging/uplifting other women, today.
It is so easy for women to support and uplift each other. You never know how your words can have a powerful impact on someone. "Oooh, those are lovely earrings!" "You look beautiful, today!" "You did so good at your event." You giving a "simple" "genuine"compliment can help women to build confidence in themselves, their abilities, and their appearance. It helps women appreciate their uniqueness, they become more self-assured and better equipped to handle challenges in life. That simple compliment helps combat all the negative impact of social media and societal pressures on women's self-esteem. I compliment women EVERYDAY, and I "love" to see how it boosts their confidence. And it makes you feel good, too!
Another way I like to encourage & uplift other women is by celebrating their achievement/accomplishments. If they own a business, I'll buy a piece of their merchandise, leave reviews on their page & even give them a shout out on my social media. Supporting each other's accomplishments creates a culture of celebration and recognition that I feel is so needed amongst women. It focuses on their strengths and accomplishments rather than fixating on appearance, perceived flaws or shortcomings, because there is so much more to them.
Collaborating and networking is another great way to uplift & support other women. When you build a supportive network it opens up opportunities for professional growth and mutual success. As my grandmother would say...want for your sisters what you would want for yourself. I want to be successful & I want the same for my sisters. So I will help her out knowing I was once in the same position she is in now.
And this leads to the importance of sharing your experiences. You have no idea how sharing your experiences can help other women. Opening up about challenging experiences/things you struggle with can be cathartic & can be extremely helpful, especially when met with support and understanding from others. It also helps reduce the feelings of isolation and being alone. Which is why I love support from groups online like, " Coffee with Nikkie (YouTube)." Where you get your daily cup of motivation & inspiration. She has created a great space for women to come together, share their experiences in life/business & she offers "genuine" help.
By encouraging and uplifting one another, we help each other thrive and shine. Women uplifting each other sets the example for our younger generations. It inspires them to unite and support other women in the future. How awesome is that, knowing that you doing something so simple could have such a great impact?
